Abigail In Africa Mission 2007
One of my life ambitions is to help the under privileged people of Africa by becoming a volunteer worker. Many projects rely on the support of volunteers; the project I will be working on is also in this category.
In Kenya a major restraint is food security this is due to poor agricultural practices. HIV/AIDS is another factor causing great havoc on this society I intend to spend some time in May working with Christian Community Services accompanying counsellors when they visit clients throughout western Kenya. One of my life passions is performing arts, also whilst in Africa I intend on drama working shopping with the people of Africa.

It has been given to the innocent and to our children. We are committed to educating the public about the injustices of the death penalty worldwide. We have no offices or paid staff. Donations are used for the cost of campaign materials, to fund murder victims family support services and contribute to defence funds for those death row with strong claims of innocence who cannot afford to prove their innocence. Please help us end the death penalty!

 ActorsThemselves
A production company that creates new writing projects to highlight buried or hidden social issues softly and without preaching. We do this by researching and workshopping with every day people from the society that surrounds us, yet without losing any of the honesty, passion and dynamic creativity or professionalism of the arts.
All projects that succeed through the research and workshop stage go on to entertain and educate audiences and participants; Allowing us to give the gift of knowledge and understanding along the way, by sharing the happiness and hardships of real peoples lives. Stories of the everyday man/woman and child that would otherwise not be heard.
Our projects and productions benefit every one involved, from the individual or social group the project targets to the audience members or viewers of the work; from the new writers being given the chance to discuss a social issue in a creative way to the new or re-emerging actors and writers that we encourage to take part from other work we have done with them.
(The projects that we are working on at the moment are Abuse of both children and the aged, Teenage life, the violence and the danger and The Migrating World. )
Any donations received will help these issues to be workshopped, recorded and performed for future generations to learn from.
Thank you for taking the time to support us by 'Helping us share today with tomorrow'.

Aegis was founded in 2000 and has its home at the first Holocaust Centre in the UK, which opened in 1995. Since 2002 Aegis has had an office in Kigali, Rwanda, and we were responsible for establishing the Kigali Memorial Centre in cooperation with the Kigali City Council. Aegis activities include: research, policy, education, remembrance, awareness of genocide issues in the media and humanitarian support for victims of genocide. Aegis is motivated by those who have experienced genocide. Their stories are at the heart of the organisation. Aegis means 'Shield' or 'Protection' in Greek because vulnerable people need protection against genocide. Aegis believes that no-one, whoever they are, should face discrimination, even death, as a result of their ethnic origin or beliefs. Among its main projects, Aegis works to support survivors of genocide in Rwanda through its work at the Kigali Memorial Centre, and in Darfur through a recently launched initiative called Fund4Darfur (http://www.fund4darfur.org).
